POL 300 Day 2: Jan 19

Today was a bit of a review for me. I've already watched the documentary that we were playing but the points (shop for fresh, local foods, etc.) still stick. It makes me think a lot about how different our food system is here in the US in comparison to Taiwan, where fresh, locally grown foods are available at the drop of a hat. It's sad (and VERY frustrating) that it's so much more expensive to eat well than it is to eat unhealthy, poor quality food in our country. Honestly, it makes me think that many of the people running our country are just unbelievably unqualified (doubtful) or have just been completely corrupted (the likely culprit). Interesting conversations though thus far.
